I am late updating, but I went to my followup appointment and got some good news. She confirmed that my EF is at 50%, and stated that it's my normal. I can live with that, and we will see if MY normal increase. I am motivated to be normal 55-60% and healthier than any point of my life. So I am eating live foods, and exercising at the gym to accomplish my goals. I can't stop, and I won't stop!!!!

Peripartum cardiomyopathy (a form of dilated cardiomyopathy)is a rare disorder in which a weakened heart is diagnosed within the final month of pregnancy or within 5 months after delivery. In the United States, ppcm complicates 1 in every 1,300 - 4,000 deliveries. It may occur in healthy childbearing women of any age. I happen to be one of those women effected by PPCM, and I hope that you enjoy reading my blog as it will contain my experience with PPCM as well as others things in my life.
I'm so happy for you! I was diagnosed with PPCM on 11/23/10 and am at 40%. Your post gives me hope.
ReplyDeleteThank you Annette, just remember that you're here for a reason, and somehow this heart failure of ours is a blessing. I wish you the best of health!
