Peripartum cardiomyopathy (a form of dilated cardiomyopathy)is a rare disorder in which a weakened heart is diagnosed within the final month of pregnancy or within 5 months after delivery. In the United States, ppcm complicates 1 in every 1,300 - 4,000 deliveries. It may occur in healthy childbearing women of any age. I happen to be one of those women effected by PPCM, and I hope that you enjoy reading my blog as it will contain my experience with PPCM as well as others things in my life.

To much time
Wow, I was just thinking that it has been too much time since my last post. I feel alot better these days with the exception of this torching Florida heat. Heat + extended outdoor time + Dolicia = Dolicia feeling pretty light on her feet and not to good. Other than that I feel great! I literally can't remember the last time I had palpatations...Ok, well maybe I can, but it has been awhile. LOL! My next followup Cardiologist appointment is September 6th so I will let you guys know how things go from there. I am in the process of trying to lose alot of weight, so I am doing Atkins and Pilates and I love it. Next time this year I would love to see 130 on the scale, and when I do I will share with you all my starting weight. LOL! I also picked up a craft of making bows for my baby girl, but I don't want to stop there. There are many things that I want to accomplish this year with my life, career, and family.
